This year, the Day of the Bulgarian IT professionals, October 4 was symbolically marked by the official establishment of ICT Cluster Burgas. The birthdate of John Atanasoff (American physicist and inventor of Bulgarian descent, widely known as the "Father of computer") brought representatives of the local business community, academic and administrative bodies together and gave a start to their common initiative. The main goals of the Cluster will be the reinforcement of the cooperation between all companies, universities, and institutions in the ICT field, the creation of favorable conditions for their development, and the improvement of their competitiveness both on a national and international level.
